New hotline for tourist’s complaint

The Royal Thai Government announced,last week, new 1111 hotline to receive tourists complaints in the hope to tackle with tourist safety issue and aim to offer prompt assistance.

The new hotline 1111 is an additional line to the existing 1155 Tourist Police Call Centre which handling an emergency issue. Tourists are advised to use 1111 hotline service if the matter is not urgent.

Both of the call centres operate 24-hr/ daily. There are staff stand by to assist foreigners.

Thai government also plans to expand this new call centre service to cover Thai embassies in ASEAN countries.

    Dear Sir / Madam I think that the Thai Government’s policy on extra care for people over 70 years is excellent. It is ashamed that this policy does not appear to include the Thai Consulate at Savannakhet Lao
