The popular app for booking a taxi will now allow you to get a motorcycle taxi. The service is called GrabBike and it is already available for anyone to try.
GrabTaxi keeps its intention to allow you to grab almost every kind of transportation. This time it is the turn of the motorcycle taxi. GrabBike replaces the previous parcel service in the app. However you can still use GrabBike for your documents, or GrabExpress service through its own website (mobile ready).
How does it work?
As usual, you just need to install the app, choose the pick up and destination location and select GrabBike. This service is available for now in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan, but more provinces will follow later.
On the next screen you get an estimation for the price, which is quite convenient.
How much does it cost?
The fee depends entirely on the distance. It starts at 35 THB, and increases 12 THB per kilometer until you travel more than 10 kilometers. Then, it will be 15 THB per kilometer.

After comparing the table you might be wondering why should you use the service instead of just a normal taxi. Well, the main factor is the traffic, and also remember that for a taxi to pick you up at your door you would need to pay a service fee unless you have some promotion.
